Kaye Jones

Solicitor

I am a Solicitor in the Private Client team at Smith Roddam Solicitors. I joined the firm in 2022 and qualified as a Solicitor in the same year after completing my Master’s degree at Northumbria University.

I advise clients on a wide range of private client matters, including Wills, Probate and Estate Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection work. I support clients at all stages of life, from putting plans in place for the future to guiding families through estate administration following a bereavement. I regularly deal with both straightforward and more complex estates, as well as matters involving property, trusts, and capacity.

I understand that these are often personal and sensitive issues, and I aim to provide advice that is clear, practical and reassuring, taking the time to explain matters fully and in plain English. I work closely with clients, families, care providers and other professionals to ensure everything is handled smoothly and with care, including situations where instructions are urgent or circumstances are particularly challenging.

I am also frequently the point of contact for home and care-setting appointments, assisting clients who are unable to attend the office due to health, mobility or other practical reasons, and ensuring they are still able to access clear and reliable legal advice in a comfortable and familiar environment.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and with my dog.
